Francis Scott Bridge in Baltimore collapses after collision with ship

BALTIMORE (AP) — Part of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed after being struck by a large boat Tuesday morning.

At about 1:30 a.m., a large ship collided with the bridge, bursting into flames before sinking and sending several vehicles into the water below, according to a video posted on .

“All lanes in both directions were closed due to the incident on the I-695 bridge. “Traffic is being disrupted,” the Maryland Transportation Authority posted on X.
