The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said authorities captured Jatonia Bryant on the eastern side of Pine Bluff, about 40 miles (more than 60 kilometers) southeast of Little Rock, as she was walking in the area. The sheriff’s office said in a release that Bryant was taken into custody without incident.

Bryant and Noah Roush were found missing from the Dub Brasel Adult Detention Center in Pine Bluff on January 22. Bryant, 23, was taken into custody on possible murder charges in connection with the 2023 shooting, according to authorities. Roush, 22, was taken into custody on possible charges of residential burglary and theft of property.

Roush was captured on Thursday. Both have been returned to the prison facility.

The Sheriff’s Office said Monday that an internal investigation found that jail personnel did not make an accurate count, which is why the two were not discovered missing for 36 hours. The Sheriff’s Office said it also planned to file criminal charges against Bryant and anyone who assisted Roush.
