France will summon Russia’s ambassador

PARIS (Reuters) – France will summon Russia’s ambassador on Monday, a French diplomatic source said, following a Russian attack in Ukraine last week that killed two French humanitarian workers, amid what Paris said were threats targeting France. There was an increase in Russian propaganda.

On 1 February, a Russian drone strike in the southern Ukrainian region of Kherson killed two French volunteer aid workers and injured three others, which Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourn described as an act of “barbarism”.

“France will reiterate its condemnation of the Russian attacks,” the diplomatic source said.

“It will also condemn the increase in disinformation targeting France,” the source said.
