18-year-old charged with murder in automobile crash that killed a woman and 3 children in a van

SEATTLE (AP) — An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with four counts of vehicular manslaughter in a four-car crash that killed a woman and three children in a Seattle suburb, online jail records show.

Chase Daniel Jones was taken into custody late Friday night and was being held on $1 million bail, according to King County Correctional Facility records.

Jail records listed the charges and bail, but did not indicate an attorney who could speak on Jones’ behalf, and the case did not appear in online King County court records Saturday.

Authorities said Jones was also injured, and was being held under guard at the hospital until his release and arrest.

Jones has also been charged with two counts of assault by vehicle and one count of reckless driving.
